Membership
What is AIESEC membership?
AIESEC members belong to a global network of committed and talented youth volunteers. Our members interact directly with the core products of AIESEC - exchange and leadership.
All members are involved in the dual process of facilitating international exchange experiences for students whilst simultaneously are empowered to develop their own leadership potential.
Student members operate in a university-based committee consisting of 5 function-specific teams:
- Finance and Sponsorship
- Marketing and Communications
- Corporate Relations
- International Exchange
- Talent Management/Human Resources.
Benefits of AIESEC membership
AIESEC provides members the invaluable opportunity of belonging to one of the world’s largest student run and internationally recognised organisations.
Through their experience with AIESEC, members are driven to develop themselves such that they are equipped to become future leaders that are globally aware, entrepreneurial, emotionally intelligent, socially responsible and proactively seek self-development and learning.
Benefits of AIESEC are innumerable and range from those of a personal nature such as working with like-minded and passionate peers to those that are professional including the opportunity to extend one’s corporate network.
AIESEC members are also encouraged to further their growth by attending the many conferences held by AIESEC attended by members from all ends of the world.
AIESEC Conferences
Each year, there are two one-week long national conferences held in Australia.
National conferences are a great opportunity to meet AIESEC members from all states of Australia, gain skills and knowledge to improve the running of the organisation and to network with similar minded people who care about social issues and making a global impact.
Not only are conferences truly inspiring and motivational events but also you will never party as hard as you will in an AIESEC conference!
AIESEC UNSW delegates also attend a regional AIESEC NSW conference with AIESEC members from USYD, UTS and Macquarie University. This is a smaller scale event that acts as an induction seminar for new members.
