Costs

If you are interested in applying for AIESEC's International Exchange Program, it is important that you understand the program's basic costs and requirements.

NEW: You can now get a discount off of your administrative fee if you refer a friend for exchange! For full details of the new Refer-A-Friend program, click HERE!

Essential Costs

Before any trip overseas, it is necessary to consider all the costs that you might incur. Some essential costs associated with AIESEC's International Exchange Program include:

  • An administrative fee to AIESEC of $600.00 for Development or Education Traineeships or $750.00 for Management or Technical Traineeships
  • Flights to and from the location of your internship
  • Visa application costs
  • Health and travel insurance
  • Living costs (a stipend may be provided for accommodation or food, however individuals will need to consider other day-to-day costs)

Obtaining a Visa

Once you have been matched to an internship, AIESEC will help you apply for a relevant Visa. However, this process may take time, especially if you are traveling to developing countries. While AIESEC often has access to special working Visas, we cannot absolutely guarantee that your Visa application will be successful.

Immunisation and Vaccinations

Individuals are responsible for organising their own vaccines. This should be done in consultation with a medical professional.
